The nxlog tool is a universal log collectorandforwarder. It can act as a syslog server and collect logs fromthenetwork over UDP, TCP or TLS/SSL. It can read logs from files,thekernel log and the android device logs which can be forwardedoverthe network using UDP, TCP or TLS/SSL and redirected intofiles.nxlog supports the BSD and IETF syslog standards (RFC 3164and RFC5424) but it is possible to use a custom format. Inaddition, it haspowerful filtering capabilities which lets youforward only a subsetof the logs.

Unlike other android log forwarder tools, nxlog reads theandroidlog devices directly instead of parsing the logcatcommand's output.It can use TCP and SSL for reliability andsecurity in addition tothe lossy UDP protocol.

nxlog does not require root access. Reading the kernel logsisalso possible, but you will need root access for this.
