HOUSING: The United States Army provides modern housingforSoldiers and their families. Single Soldiers may live inanapartment, complete with up-to-date appliances, a full-kitchenandseparate bedroom. Single soldiers may also live in adorm-stylebarrack with modern amenities, including washrooms,spaciousclosets, and common areas with entertainment centers andotherforms of recreation.

Soldiers with families typically live in 3-4 bedroom houseswitha driveway, patio and yard. Soldiers may also have the optiontolive off-post. Your housing situation may depend on yourmaritalstatus, the size of your family and your rank. Ask yourrecruiterfor more details.

COMMUNITY: Need to pick up some groceries, or mail a letter?Wantto go to the mall or hit the gym?

All of your needs are covered on an Army post. You willhaveaccess to name-brand apparel and groceries at the PostExchange(PX) and Commissary, but at discounted prices. You willalso haveaccess to many community services, including:

- Schools
- Fire stations
- Chapels
- Hospitals and clinics
- Post offices
- Automotive repair centers
- Daycare centers

RECREATION: Wind down after a long day by hitting thelinks,going bowling or hanging out at the rec center withyourbuddies.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to blow off steam. Armypostsprovide hundreds of recreational amenities, including an18-holegolf course, movie theaters, ice-skating rinks, bowlingalleys andoutdoor fun.
