This water meter reading application hasbeendesigned to give confidence to the customer that the watermeter isreporting as expected and to eliminate leakage.In order to gain maximum efficiency from the device thefirststage is to input usage for the various areas. A variance will then be populated toevaluatethe analysis. This section is useful to a customer whenevaluatinga leak. It takes the expected usage and provides avariance againstthe meter reading. It is then a decision on whataction theytake.We have also created a component for the customer to track arealtime estimated bill. The component takes the last bill dateandreading and can split the bill between the previous andcurrentyears charges to ensure all measures are taken intoconsideration.Having this component has been designed to ensurethat there are nosurprises for the customer when receiving the nextbill.The water education provides an insight into the impact ofthewater used around the home.To ensure that we include all water customers a switch to ametersection. It requires a forecast use from the customer onareasaround the home and also requires the unmetered bill. Itthendisplays the impact of the switch on all four periodicfrequenciesto reflect the impact.Due to the complexity of the charges for Scottish Water weareunable to give a accurate forecast bill. Also due topossiblemisleading information, Scottish Water has been exempt fromtheselection water company lists.
