Cuộc thi “Học Viện Ngôi Sao” sẽ bao gồm khoảng mười hai ngườithamgia, có thể ít hơn hoặc nhiều hơn tùy vào quyết định của NhàSảnXuất, trong độ tuổi từ 16 đến 30 tuổi. Những thí sinh này sẽcùngsống trong một ngôi nhà chung đó là học viện nơi đào tạo bàibản vàchuyên nghiệp về âm nhạc, tổ chức những lớp học và những bàigiảngchuyên sâu về thanh nhạc, thể dục thẩm mĩ, rèn luyện thể chất,ứngxử với truyền thông, xác định phong cách và thẩm mĩ của mộtngôisao ca nhạc chuyên nghiệp.
