The building which now accommodates thePicasso Foundation, the old number 36 in Plaza de la Merced, is thehouse where Pablo Ruiz Picasso was born and, as such, is the mostappropriate place in which to discover Picasso's origins andbackground and learn something about the atmosphere whichinfluenced his early development and later consolidation as a keyfigure in the history of Modern Art.
